Movecat_Logistik_web…entering 2017 with a new logistics centre and reinforced development team

Movecat can look back on a highly successful 2016 the reason being a considerable increase in the volume of orders worldwide in the course of the last twelve months that posed ever fresh logistical challenges to the manufacturer of kinetic solutions based in Nufringen (Baden-Württemberg) that bordered at times on the impossible. Thanks to a considerable increase in the personnel, spatial and structural capacities of the company, however, Movecat – with its appropriate motto „World of Motion“ – is able to face the new year, 2017, full of confidence.

To continue to be able to respond to rising material demands with swift reaction and delivery times, on 1 January 2017 the Movecat team moved into a completely new logistics centre with 550 square metres of storage and 200 square metres of office space. The company accompanied this development with new structures and internal processes to enable it to react still faster in the future to orders placed at short notice.

In addition to an 800 square metre expansion of the assembly areas, successive increases in the storage capacities for raw materials and semi-completed products as well as for various standard articles and components are scheduled for the first quarter of 2017.

In terms of personnel, too, Movecat is adjusting its structures to the increase in demand. The central R&D team, in particular, has been considerably enlarged and new building structures made ready to accommodate it as early as the spring of 2017.
