Rene_Proske_webProske takes over Meetings & Events focus in ITB convention program

Due to the pandemic, this year’s ITB Berlin will take place in a digital-only format from March 9-12, 2021. VDR, Germany’s largest network for business mobility, will once again be represented at the ITB Convention Berlin with exciting presentations and discussions. This association has incorporated a focus on business travel into the congress program. The VDR slot will be live-streamed on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will open with the presentation „REthink, REbuild, RElevance – the Future of Meetings & Events“ by René Proske, Managing Director of Proske, and Patric Weiler, Director Strategy & Innovation at Proske. Representatives from Amgen, DSM, Novo Nordisk and SAS Institute will share their perspectives as Proske customers. Start time is 10:05 a.m.

This convention session will discuss the paradigm shift that began in 2020 in the travel and event industry, whose daily business was abruptly stopped by the lockdown and contact restrictions. This subsequently led to an unbelievably quick evolution of alternative methods of communication and the way people meet, exchange information and do business. Areas in which the issue of digital transformation had previously had little relevance changed completely as a result of the pandemic, inspiring many innovations and resulting in rethinking and new habits. „REthink, REbuild, RElevance – the Future of Meetings & Events“ focuses on the current implications of this development: What are the relevant trends of this time? What can go and what will stay? What are the prospects for the future?

Participants in the streamed presentation are four insiders from the Meetings & Events market segment. They each are known for innovation in their field: Michael Bourke of Novo Nordisk, for a strict focus on sustainability; Nick Pupa of DSM Group, for digital first; Toby Frowen, of AMGEN, for the development of highly meaningful dashboards; and Daniel Poulsen of SAS Institute, for innovation.

The entire four-day conference program will be held in English; no simultaneous translation will provided. Registration is possible via the VDR website (www.vdr-service.de).
